Tennis Against War

We are running Tennis and Pickleball ‘Mixer’ events in aid of the Disaster Emergency Committee’s (DEC) Ukraine Crisis Appeal -

Pickleball Mixer Tournament

Thursday 17 March, 10am-12.30pm, Wallace Park Indoor Tennis Centre (Minimum £8 per person)

Our usual Pickleball Tournament but this time for an urgent cause.  Initially, our app will put everyone in a doubles match.   Subsequent matches will be selected, by the app, based on a leader board it creates from the results so everyone plays at their own level.  After two hours of play, the app will select the top eight to play semi-finals and a final.  (see www.PreviousWinners.com/WPPM)

To enter download the ‘Play More Tennis’ app.  Enter ‘Wallace Park Pickleball Club’ as your location (the pin is in the centre of Lough Neagh so as not to confuse with tennis centre) Then click ‘Play' beside this event.  Once entered please donate the appropriate entry fee on this page.

‘Tie Break Tens’ Tennis Doubles ‘Mixer’

Thursday 17 March, 1.30pm-4pm, Wallace Park Indoor Tennis Centre (Minimum £8 per person)

Our ‘Tennis Mixer’ app will put everyone in a short doubles match, a tie-break to ten points.  Subsequent matches will be selected, by the app, based on a leader board it creates from the results so everyone plays at their own level.  After two hours of play, the app will select the top eight to play semi-finals and a final.

Want to learn tennis?  

Join a beginner’s class for five weeks and we’ll donate your entire tuition fee to DEC’s Ukrainian Appeal.  To join, phone 02892 660653 to reserve your place, once booked donate £30 for lessons on this page.  Then simply come along 11.30am-12.30pm on Tuesday 22 March.  

‘Mixer’ Doubles Morning

Saturday 19 March, 10am-12pm, Wallace High School Tennis Courts (£5 per person)

Our ‘Tennis Mixer’ app will put everyone in a short doubles match, first to four games.  Subsequent matches will be selected, by the app, based on a leader board it creates from the results so everyone plays at their own level.  After ninety minutes of play, the app will select the top eight to play semi-finals and a final.
