We're still collecting donations
On the 23rd July 2024 we'd raised £300 with 6 supporters in 49 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
We need your help to bring Tending to life this summer. Help us champion the nursing community who hold our health service together.

On the 23rd July 2024 we'd raised £300 with 6 supporters in 49 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
There are 400,000 nurses in the NHS today. This is their story.
Tending is a verbatim plays which offers a heartbreaking, hilarious and very human look at the experience of the nurses on the frontline of our health service. Based on over 70 interviews with nurses of all ages, backgrounds and nationalities, Tending immerses you in their day-to-day lives.
At it's core, It asks an essential question: when the system’s under pressure and lives are on the line, who takes time to care for the carers?
How can you help?
This is a play that’s set on the fault lines of the health service, created with the community that holds it up. And we’re looking for your support to help champion this community.
Particularly in 2024, it is immensely costly to take a production in Edinburgh. So we’re launching a FringeMakers crowdfunder. In 2023, we were generously supported by The Burdett Trust for nurses and were the recipient of a SIT-UP award for socially impactful theatre. This year, however, we are once again looking to raise funds.
In order to make the final push to ensure that we can make it to Edinburgh and continue developing this project, every penny you can donate will make a big difference.
If you cannot afford to donate but have another suggestion of how you might be able to contribute to the project, please contact us. We are so appreciative of your continued generosity and can't wait to see you in Edinburgh.
