Get the Green Party on Telford and Wrekin ballot papers in the General Election

by Telford and Wrekin Green Party in Telford, Telford and Wrekin, United Kingdom

The General Election is finally here!

We have great Green Party candidates selected and ready to campaign for Real Hope, Real Change.

But it's not that easy. We are a small local party with no income. In order to even be on your ballot paper, we need to pay a £500 deposit per candidate. There will also be a substantial cost for any election literature we produce.

People need the opportunity to vote Green because our country is facing multiple crises - in the NHS, cost of living, housing, and of course in our climate and environment. There is very little difference between what we are being offered by the Tory and Labour parties at a time when change is clearly needed. The Green Party have bold new plans in all policy areas and plans to pay for this by increasing taxation of the wealthiest 1% and the biggest polluters as well as introducing a carbon tax

The Green Party does politics differently. please help if you can.

Your donation can have a triple impact

1. Your donation gets a Green candidate for Parliament able to challenge the old parties.

2. By helping our candidates to stand, your donation enables all the votes they receive to translate into government funding for the Green MPs elected elsewhere (at the last election this was £42.82 per 200 votes, resulting in hundreds of thousands of pounds to help Caroline Lucas's work in parliament!)

3. If our candidates retain their deposit, those funds come back and can be spent by the Green Party again, so we can keep building strength both locally and nationally!

Our candidates

John Adams is standing as the Green Party parliamentary candidate in Telford. He came to live in Shropshire in 1987 to study Agriculture and subsequently worked at Harper Adams University for over 20 years until 2018. In the 2019 general election he represented the Green Party in North Shropshire and now lives in Stirchley”.

Pat McCarthy is standing as the Green Party candidate in The Wrekin. He has lived in Wellington for 25 years, served as a chair of his residents’ association and as a Town Councillor and worked in a variety of community development roles. Pat has been co-ordinator of Telford and Wrekin Green Party for 8 years. He is a Shared Lives carer and volunteers for Wellington ecargo bike delivery scheme.

We need £1000  to stand in our 2 constituencies - Telford and The Wrekin. Just 100 people giving £10 each takes us to our target but please donate whatever you can. Take action today for a fairer Greener Telford and Wrekin and Britain!

Promoted by Bev McCarthy on behalf of Pat McCarthy and John Adams all at 58 King Street, Wellington, Telford. TF1 1NR
