Teenie’s Fundraiser for Charis & Cancer Focus NI

Aim: Raise money for Charis Cancer Care & Cancer Focus NI

Hi All,

My Name is Teenie Fullerton (Martina). In February 2023 I was diagnosed with Non Hodgkins’s Lymphona. It was a shock but I quickly got myself together and started 6 courses of Chemotherapy followed by 15 sessions of Radiotherapy. During this time and afterwards, Charis Cancer Care and Cancer Focus NI helped me greatly. Myself and my sister attended the outstanding Charis Centre on the Lough Fea Road Cookstown with amazing views over the Lough, but not forgetting the staff who made us most welcome on every visit. They offer a range of treatments  and services which are available to the patient and their families including Counselling, Reflexology, Aromatherapy and financial advice as well as tea & biscuits.

Cancer Focus NI also provide a range of support and it was the driving force they provided that helped me greatly. Cancer Focus NI provide cars and volunteer drivers, I was collected at my home and taken to hospital appointments. The driver waited no matter how long the appointment lasted, the drivers were all lovely, kind and patient and we had some great chats en route.

Charis and Cancer Focus NI are 2 charities very dear to me and I would like to give something back.

I am having a coffee morning at my home 43 Lisnamuck Road, Maghera, BT46 5LD on Saturday 30th August 10am-2pm with all proceeds going to both charities. 

Everyone is welcome but if you cannot attend the coffee morning and would like to make a donation, any amount will be greatly appreciated.
