Aim: A journey for Home Education families from the UK and West Africa through 4 events, taking 1 journey to unite with Ghana #BeyondBooks

Hi everyone! We are fundraising for the Let’s Educate Home Learning community. Doing our part in fundraising towards the £50,000 goal to take Home educated families from the UK and 4 familes from West Africa to Ghana in their Beyond Books Campaign.

Over the past year, they have been exploring Ghana, learning about its amazing food, vibrant language, rich history, and deep cultural stories. We’ve painted, tasted, read, and imagined it all.

Now we’re ready to bring it to life, with our families and fellow home-ed friends, on a real journey to Ghana.

This trip isn’t just a holiday: it’s a hands‑on inter-generational learning adventure designed to connect heritage and identity. We’ll visit historical sites, learn directly from Ghanaian communities and other Home Educated families, stepping into the stories we’ve only ever learned about from books. We aim to give back to the communities we visit, and unite with our brothers and sisters on the continent for an expansive and innovative mindset... a must for any Young Leader.

This will be our first trip to Africa, and we’re raising funds so 16 families can experience Ghana together, with safety, purpose, and respect. We want to walk the pathways of Ghanaian history, taste jollof rice in local kitchens, listen to drumming and dance, and build friendships across continents.

Why it matters:

This immersive experience will help us understand our learning at a deeper level, broaden our horizons, and connect our hearts across cultures. This trip will shape us into more open, empathetic global leaders.

Please support our Crowdfunder campaign, your generosity will help make our dream a reality and enrich our education in the most meaningful way. Thank you so much! 😊
