The survey results indicated that the children would like to learn how to play badminton.
Tayinloan Hall is not suitable for badminton.However there is another hall in the nearby village of Glenbarr which has a badminton court.With the extra money we would pay for transport to take the children to Glenbarr Hall so that they could receive coaching sessions.
The aim of the project is to establish a Youth Club in Tayinloan Hall.Tayinloan is a medium sized rural village on the west coast of Kintyre.It has a higher than average number of young people and young families.There are very few organised activities for young people within the village.
We carried out a survey in the local Primary School and in the village in January 2019 and the top priority was to establish a Youth Club for Primary and pre-school children.The parents were very keen to assist with this.
We plan to run the Youth Club weekly during term time.
Funds raised will be used to pay for the hire of the village hall, support any training needs and purchase games and sports equipment.
