We're still collecting donations
On the 30th April 2021 we'd raised £4,630 with 67 supporters in 56 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.

On the 30th April 2021 we'd raised £4,630 with 67 supporters in 56 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
Taunton Deane Swimming Club is a successful community swimming club with 300 members aged from 7 to 70 training and competing in swimming, water polo and artistic swimming. Our aim is to develop a life long love for swimming based activities, and to help our members maximise their personal potential. Our Club provides an opportunity to keep active in a safe environment, to develop personal skills such as commitment to training, and give something back to the community through volunteering.
Our Club relies heavily on swim meets to generate surplus funds to cover running costs, invest in new equipment and train the next generation of coaches. We have not been able to organise a swim meet for over a year so we need to find alternative ways to raise money to ensure we can continue to invest in the future of our Club.
Social distancing measures mean that we need more pool-space and more pool-time to accommodate the number of swimmers we have - and that costs money. Monies raised will go towards meeting our running costs and keeping fees down.
In addition our coaches are currently looking to purchase the following equipment:
We are applying for Sport England's 'Return to Play: Active Together' match funding. If successful Sport England will match the monies raised to make our total even bigger! This will mean that any donations are worth more to us when donated through this Crowdfunder - so please do help us if you can!
As an additional incentive to donate and an extra way of saying 'thank you' - for every £10 donated you will receive a raffle ticket for our prize draw. There is also a free TD swim hat for all donations over £50. Larger corporate donations will be rewarded with promotional opportunities at our next swim meet.
