I believe that many of us aspire to lead healthier and more sustainable lifestyles, but get caught up in everyday life in the process. If this sounds familiar then look no further, Taste of Zero Waste is here to do exactly what is says on the tin. I aim to provide customers with both physical and educational tools to fulfil a healthy sustainable lifestyle whilst remaining affordable, accessible and approachable. Wherever you are on your sustainability journey continue to give yourself a little taste of zero waste and pick up habits that are applicable to your lifestyle.
'Zero Waste' is a phrase often used to explain the lifestyle of significantly reducing personal waste production mainly from food, cleaning and toiletry products. Taking steps towards this can often seem challenging, which is why I encourage customers to start with just a 'Taste of Zero Waste' to begin developing these life long habits.
There are so many alarming statistics for plastic production, recycling rates and disregarded plastics that contaminate our natural environments. One key method of dealing with these factors is to reduce our dependence entirely.
Taste of Zero Waste is a pop-up market stall where I sell items that encourage waste reducing behaviours, such as refill cleaning products, fruit and veg bags and naked soaps. As the business develops I will attend a wider range of events and diversify stock to target more of my audience. Events like festivals and university fairs offer access to thousands of potential waste saving customers, exposure like this could have an amazing effect on the way we as individuals view waste development. This could lead to a further demand for more sustainable shopping options in mainstream supermarkets and support for other small sustaineble businesses.
As long as we are all taking steps we are still on the journey to sustainable living, so embrace progress over perfection and join us on our mission!
