This donation is in recognition of the amazing service provided by TFC's marvellous 'Boot Room'. Such a great idea to host a swap-shop for boots, with the provision of pre-loved boots for free removing a significant barrier that some families would otherwise face to getting their kids out on the pitch. Fantastic!

Tankerton Football Club is an amazing hardworking charity. I'll also be donating a fee for a piece I am writing about them for a local paper, the Whitstable Whistler, and I have also sponsored their Pan-Disability Football Team with the TV company that makes the series, Whitstable Pearl, based on my books. Here's to TFC's new ground. Jx

Such a good cause, come on let's get this done. The value of having a place for youngsters(and big kid adults) to go is enormous, I was lucky enough to have a community centre where I grew up, it made a huge difference to me, my friends and families.

These green spaces are so important, especially for children and young people. The more that can benefit the better! Good luck with reaching your target.

I stumbled across this on Twitter and I think it's a great cause. So important for young people to have somewhere for sport AND the bonus of helping nature too. You deserve to reach your target!

Tankerton FC has provided me with so many opportunities over the years and I hope with the development of the new ground it will continue to provide opportunities for future generations and continue to sit at the heart of the local community.

I hope you raise the money needed this is such a worthwhile cause. It benefits so many local people of all ages and ability. We already sponsor the deaf football team and will continue to support you in anyway we can.
