Talks With MS is a registered UK charity founded by Terri-Louise Brown in 2016 to support individuals living with Multiple Sclerosis. Open to all, the charity places a strong focus on amplifying the voices of underrepresented communities, particularly Black and Brown individuals within MS spaces, to drive greater equity, visibility, and inclusion.
Key Resources and Initiatives:
- Mentorship & Peer Support: A “big brother/big sister” model providing guidance, shared experiences, and a safe, empowering space for honest conversations.
- Educational Workshops & Events: Regular sessions that raise awareness, provide practical support, and build community.
- Research: Talks With MS contributes to and promotes inclusive research that better reflects the diverse experiences of those living with MS.
- Media & Storytelling: The charity creates and shares powerful, lived-experience content through podcasts, social media, and campaigns—centering real stories from across the MS community.
Talks With MS is committed to fostering connection, education, and lasting change for everyone affected by MS.
In 2025, we proudly curated ‘The Empowerment Awards’, a groundbreaking disability awards event—the first of its kind to include categories such as ‘Assistance Dog of the Year’ and ‘Additional Needs Personality’, celebrating the incredible contributions of individuals and service animals in the disability community.
At Talks With MS, we are committed to ensuring that no one navigates MS or hidden disabilities alone.
