Tabs Ryan's Half Marathon Challenge for BGC Wales

Aim: I am running Cardiff Half Marathon to raise funds for BGC Wales which reaches out to young people, promoting wellbeing & development

Who are we?

Boys' and Girls' Clubs of Wales is a national voluntary youth work organisation offering young people new and attractive opportunities by providing a full and varied programme of educational, cultural, sporting and social activities.

From its early beginnings in the 1920's, the organisation has developed into being recognised as one of the most progressive youth work organisation in the UK. The organisation continues to offer a service and support to young people throughout Wales in traditional boys' and girls' clubs, community youth clubs and clubs providing sports and activities.

Why are we crowdfunding?

We are Crowdfunding to create a level playing field for young people and to develop life skills and a community ethos within a safe environment

How we’ll spend the money raised

We will use money raised to bring opportunities to young people that they may not otherwise have had.

Community impact

BGC Wales projects positively affect communities throughout Wales.  From leadership and empowerment to respect, teamwork and excellence in sport and much, much more.

How you can play your part

There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.

1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!

2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.

3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!

4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
