Running Sydney Marathon for Davina’s Ark Charity

Six weeks out from the Sydney Marathon 2023, I wanted to announce that Megan and I are running Sydney Marathon to raise money for Davina’s Ark!

We choose a Charity close to our hearts doing amazing work back home in Ireland. Davina’s Ark offers hope, recovery, and transforms lives of individuals and families who are impacted by addiction or trauma. 

Your kind donation will be greatly appreciated and will make Megan and I run that little bit quicker on the 17th September!!

Davina’s Ark is the visionary and socially innovative legacy of an inspiring young woman Davina, whose own young life was robbed of joy, purpose and zest for living. Davina found herself on a harrowing lonely, despairing road in the depths of ‘The unforgiving nightmare of addiction’.

Through grit and determination Davina battled her way back to recovery and rehabilitation and resolved to help other sufferers do the same. It was when delivering a support workshop for people recovering from addiction that Davina was tragically taken ill and died.

Davina’s Ark is her legacy and provides counselling, recovery programmes, workshops and training to help people break the cycle of addiction. It also supports the families of those in addiction who are  suffering broken relationships that often result from addictive behaviour.

Davina’s Ark offers hope and new opportunity to the many in our society who are afflicted or affected by the curse of addiction. There is not a single family in our society that isn’t somehow impacted by the negative effects of addiction.
