THE HISTORY

I left the military as an Aircraft Engineer after 11 years in 2015. Myself and my still serving partner were finally starting the family we so desperately wanted. I wanted to still bring in an income but with a little one and husband who would go away for months on end, this was tricky. Over the years I built up my knowledge of cake making and decorating while juggling part time jobs. Soon, I had established a reputable business where I was a recommended supplier at luxury wedding venues, teaching cake classes on behalf of another cake business, I had a fantastic client base where I was having to turn away orders and got to the point I knew it was time to expand. Sadly, covid and personal reasons resulted in me hitting pause on my passion. I now have grabbed the opportunity to not only resurrect my business but take it to the next level. I have found a premises! A space to call my cake shop! I am beyond excited for this venture and have thought thoroughly about what I'd like to offer from this space. 

THE VISION

This space will not only be available for customers to collect their orders, but a place to learn new skills via one of my cake classes, meet with friends when I open the doors to the public for walk ins, a place where someone with a passion for cakes can have a party, I want this space to bring the community together by supporting other local businesses and ccharities. I would like to approach other local businesses about me providing them with wholesale goods to integrate with the community further. As well as this I want to offer my products to the people who support me from afar offering postal boxes of treats that can be delivered nationwide! This would mean I could send a gift on your behalf to someone you care about and in turn you would have supported a small growing business. It time, I would like to offer work to my local community as I grow and expand.

THE NEED

To make this dream come to life, I need a little help getting it started. A friend of mine recommended I started this page so I have taken his advice and I am reaching out. I am in need of some additional equipment to get me started in my (eeeek!) Cake studio. A convection oven would really help this venture get off to a great start! I am also looking to get countertops, some basic equipment and a small amount of stock to get me on my way. I am not one to ask for something for nothing so your donation will be gratefully received and rewarded.
