SVES in Canada

Aim: Raising money to get SVES singers to Canada this summer! Ran a half marathon in March.
We are the eleven post-graduate singers on the MA in Solo Voice Ensemble Singing (SVES) at the University of York. We are incredibly excited to have been awarded 'International Scholarships' to attend the Canadian Renaissance Music Summer Schools this summer. Accommodation and course fees are covered, and the University of York has awarded £4,000 to help cover flights.
A shortfall of just over £3,000 remained for flights, so four of the fitter/madder among us – Raph, Liv, Seb, and Ellie – ran a half marathon from Selby Abbey to York Minster on Friday 14 March to raise as much of this money as we could.
We were amazed by the generosity of donors who gave a total of £1,392 that month. The site remains open for donations in respect of our Fundraising Concert on Friday 20 June at St Edward’s Church, Dringhouses. Anything you can donate in this last fundraising push would be immensely appreciated – thanks!!
