We have spent years in the industry and now due to the power prices going through the roof many are under pressure. We have managed to lower the capital and the Opex of running LED lighting by 50% (proven in our own warehouse)
Now we have the biggest breakthrough in the industry by removing the energy cost from growing. By using what we already need to grow crops we can now produce energy as we grow and use this to power the climate for the crops.
We are not talking about solar panels on the roof or even wind farm power .
We will use a battery storage unit to store energy that produce 24 hrs a day and during peak times we will use the stored power to top up as needed and during low load times we will top up the storage. The storage can be sized as large as we need depending on the power load needed.
Our system uses the climate needed for plant growth to power the renewable needed and the excess goes into the battery storage unit.
We successfully did this in Bahrain on greenhouse fans by redirecting the 'air' produced through a generator to power the fans. NOW by using a small wind turbine we can produce power 24 hrs a day, By using a fan that uses 0.600 w per hr we can produce up to 15 Kw per hr this allows us to use this to power LED Lights and use the air we blow to turn the turbine and direct this air into the growing unit to control the climate.
The turbine will be housed in a 'Generating ' room that we will also control the heat and again use the 'wind' to heat the growing area.
With all the news on Vertical Farms failing and all are failing on the same issue and that is one of POWER. THIS will change the whole world of growing.
