This project aims to hire a consultant to conduct an EMF survey of Pound Lane (Exmouth) and the surrounding area.

As you may be aware, phone masts, while essential for our daily communication needs, emit radiofrequency electromagnetic field (RF-EMF) radiation. Studies suggest potential health risks associated with living close to these masts.

I believe the health and safety of residents who live close to the Pound Lane mast has been overlooked and telecoms companies have been allowed to install newer, more powerful antennas without public consultation. The installation of telecoms infrastructure would normally count as development and require planning permission however, communications network operators have certain permitted development rights which grant them prior approval for expansions and upgrades.

If, like me, you are concerned about this matter please contribute towards the cost of hiring a professional EMF consultant to survey the area. Please get in contact with me if you would like the consultant to focus on a particular location in the area.

I will use the evidence gathered during the survey to approach our local MP to encourage them to look into the matter and hopefully reduce our exposure to dangerous levels of RF-EMF. A copy of the survey report will be provided to all contributers once completed.
