The global COVID-19 pandemic has increased poverty in India. We aim to provide meals and face masks for anyone in need in Bangalore

by Suzanne Richardson in Bengaluru, Bangalore Urban, India

The global COVID-19 pandemic has created very uncertain times for the world and perhaps even more so for developing nations. In India, most people work in casual labour. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, many millions have lost their jobs and even their homes. Currently staying in Bangalore with my partner, we with another friend and Chef James of Britalian Kitchen are hoping to provide meals and face maks for those in need in Bangalore. We hope that during this scary time, we can at least prevent people from going hungry and reduce the worry that facing hungry can cause. Any donations received will be spent only on purchasing food and the material costs for making cloth masks. Our time is voluntary. We hope to carry on this project while the crisis is going on.

We ask project owners to honour their rewards wherever possible but please note that all pledges are donations and there is no guarantee that you will receive any rewards from the project owner. Please see Crowdfunder's Terms of Use for more information regarding rewards for pledges.
