This is an ambitious project; four actors playing multiple parts in a new Sherlock Holmes story.
Our journey has been marked by small victories and unwavering determination. From a single, modest script-in-hand fundraiser in Wales to the cusp of the Edinburgh Fringe, we've seen the power of storytelling firsthand. An audience left spellbound, questioning the boundaries of truth and fiction, longing to unravel the mysteries we've unearthed.
Picture this: a tale where the lines between reality and fiction blur, where Sherlock Holmes, the embodiment of logic, faces off against his own creator, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, in a clash of intellect and belief. This isn't just another adaptation; it's a literary showdown akin to 'Frankenstein meets his maker.'
At its core lies the enigmatic Cottingley Fairy Hoax, where two young girls sparked a phenomenon by claiming to have captured fairies on film. When Conan Doyle stepped into the fray, endorsing these claims, the world was captivated. Our play, Sherlock Holmes & The Man Who Believed in Fairies, delves into this historic moment, weaving a narrative that challenges perception and reality.
Our journey began in 2023, fuelled by passion and ambition. Since then, we've poured our hearts and souls into crafting an experience like no other. But we need your help to bring this project home – and we are so close! The venue is two-thirds paid for, and the accommodation is one-third paid for. We need your help to turn the page to the next chapter.
Together, let's bring this vision to life and share it with the world. Because when belief meets action, miracles happen. Join us on this adventure, and together, let's make magic.
