The Green Party does not have rich and powerful backers. We rely on people like you to support our work.
With the help of so many of our members and supporters - standing as candidates, leafleting and canvassing in our target ward, donating to our election Crowdfunder - we came incredibly close to getting the first Green elected to West Northants Council this May, missing out by just 48 votes.
We’re disappointed, but we're undaunted. And we're working hard on our strategy for the next four years. A big part of that will be producing newsletters and digital content to show people the important work we're doing in communities all the time. Our campaigners aren't paid, but print newsletters and social media campaigns do cost money.
We hope you’ll join us in standing up to Reform, who now have control of West Northants Council. It’s a tragedy that huge numbers of people across our region feel so disillusioned that they’d vote for candidates and a party that offer nothing but anger and fear. The Green Party can offer West Northants an alternative that clearly sets out a positive vision and plan, that offers real hope and real change. But it’s going to take a big team effort to get the message out there and show, with actions as well as words, why we are the ones to restore peoples' faith in democracy.
Our West Northants group has come out of this tumultuous election stronger and more energised than ever. We'd love for you to join us in our exciting next chapter. With hope, compassion and humanity, we can show our neighbours and communities that a better way is possible.
