The global COVID-19 pandemic has created a very uncertain landscape for millions of British small businesses, which is going to make it very challenging for businesses to survive. Together we can help them.
The Urban Historian has been leading Heritage Walks and providing talks on Renfrewshire and Paisley history for 10 years. The COVID-19 pandemic has effectively halted all of our research, walks and talk for the foreseeable future.
We plan to introduce online Virtual Heritage Walks and courses on local history over the next few weeks to keep peoples interest alive in local history - and indeed provide relief from self-isolation. A proportion of any funds raised will be used to pay our web hosting fees, and help provide some free content on our courses website.
All other funds received will be used to keep the Urban Historian going over the foreseeable future. Our Rewards have been designed so that you can pay forward to attend any of our walks and talks which are held in Bianco Nero Cafe in Paisley (who are also doing their bit just now to raise funds to provide food for NHS Staff at the Royal Alexander Hospital)
Rewards range from an e-book on Paisley History to attendance at our heritage walks and talks. We also have specific rewards for our Genealogy Customers who want to research their family history.
