Hi, I'm Megan, Founder of Kids in Cyber. As a parent and advocate for early digital education, I created Riley’s New Console: Social Engineering to give children a relatable, age-appropriate introduction to the challenges of being online.
The idea came from a simple realisation: kids are navigating technology earlier than ever, but the support to help them do so safely and confidently just isn’t keeping up.
This engaging chapter book follows Riley, a tech-curious girl who receives her first game console. But what starts as excitement turns into confusion when her profile is compromised by someone pretending to be a friend. It’s a gentle but important introduction to a topic that affects kids every day, without being scary or preachy.
This campaign will help us:
✅ Design and create the cover for the book.
✅ Prepare for Print and publish the first run of Riley’s New Console
✅ Share the book with families through school fairs and community events
✅ Proceeds from the book will help us develop our Kids in Cyber learning platform. A digital space designed to grow with children and support their journey from tech introduction to confident, responsible use.
We're not just publishing a book we're starting a movement to put cyber and tech education right where it belongs: alongside Math & English.
Back this campaign to help make that vision a reality.
