To Raise funds for activities and support sessions for people living with dementia at the Heart Meeting Centre.
by Heart of Newhaven Community in Edinburgh, United Kingdom
On the 24th August 2024 we'd raised £4,015 with 24 supporters in 83 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
We will continue to develop the Meeting Centre at The Heart. We would like to expand our offer to provide a specific support session for care partners and family members who are navigating change.
At The Heart Dementia Meeting Centre, we focus on the strengths and skills of our individual members and their families. We support people living with mild to moderate dementia to reclaim ownership of their lives following diagnosis. Purposeful person-centred interventions and creative adventures empower our members and their care partners to enjoy life, gain confidence and make informed decisions along their individual dementia journey. We are blessed with amazing volunteers who bring talent, humour and love to every session.
