Sadly we have closed the doors temporarily on our very successful business in the heart of Mutley Plain. The support of our family, friends, staff and loyal customers since opening just 8 months ago has been overwhelming and has continued throughout the last few difficult and emotional days.
Since the Early Bird hatched in July 2019, we have breathed much-needed life back into Mutley Plain. We are a proudly independent, family-run brunch and lunch destination with a small, in-house artisan bakery. We are so lucky to have provided jobs for 15 people, creating a team and attracting customers that have become part of our ever-growing Early Bird family.
We want to come back after this pandemic stronger and better than ever, with plans to launch 'The Late Bird' - a weekly evening pop-up, build a mezzanine to allow for more tables, to extend the kitchen and expand our in-house artisan bakery with the aim to teach people to bake.
In the meantime, if you wish to 'Buy Now Brunch Later' then please support us by buying gift cards for Mother's Day, Easter, birthdays and more to be redeemed either in the Early Bird or the Late Bird when we open our doors again.
Please be assured that as soon as it is safe to do so, the EB team will be back in business cooking and baking for you. During our closure, we will be putting our plans into action and come back bigger and better than before!
We are off to social distance and urge you all to do the same as the sooner we all do, the sooner normality will return.
