Reimagine. Reinvigorate. Redefine. Support the future of the 13th Night Theatre Company as they create a home-base for emerging artists.

by 13th Night Theatre Company in London, Greater London, United Kingdom

We are the 13th Night Theatre Company, a brand-new theatrical collective dedicated to taking on reimagined revivals as emerging creatives. Established in late 2023 after receiving critically applauded success through the King’s Shakespeare Company, artists from the UK and North America joined forces to push the boundaries of what it means to be a young artist.

Committed to classic pieces that are traditionally known to be difficult, 13th Night strives to provide emerging artists with the opportunity to engage with ambitious work. With the hope to create career-defining opportunities for those whose careers have yet to be defined, we aim to be a ‘home base’ for creatives who want to learn through doing - while navigating their entrance into the world of professional theatre.

We proudly made our mainstage debut in July 2024 with Ibsen’s Hedda Gabler. Described as ‘sleek, sexy, and seductive (STRAND Magazine)’, our re-invigorated, minimalist production ran for thirteen shows at the Bread and Roses Theatre. Garnering an Off-West End Award nomination for Bede Hodgkinson, 13th Night Theatre Company firmly established itself in the London theatre scene.

This past September, we launched our new sub-season called ‘Dig Where You Stand’, a series of organic, mini-revivals in unconventional spaces. The series speaks to the essential emerging artist experience: doing the most with what you are given. In December 2024, we ran Chekhov’s The Cherry Orchard in the Reliance Pub. Nestled between pub tables, the orchard came to life - no theatre required.

We are excited to announce our next mainstage production of Thomas Middleton’s Women Beware Women at the Golden Goose Theatre in March 2025. Boldly re-conceptualized as an experimental, physical theatre-based revival, this production brings Shakespeare’s contemporaries into the spotlight.

We aim to show that good theatre can happen at any level, in any venue, by anyone.

We believe that although resources are limited, creative potential should not be.

This is where you come in. As our network grows, we need your help to continue being a creative headquarters for young artists.

Theatre is expensive. From venue to production to marketing and everything in between, sustaining a small theatre company is no easy feat. To best support the artists, subsidizing the costs of mounting productions is crucial. It is our top priority that the faces that pass through 13th Night are always benefiting from their time with us.

Your donation will help:

  • Subsidize venue costs. Through you, our productions can continue running in wonderful theatres.
  • Fund rehearsal spaces so our artists have comfortable spaces to learn and explore.
  • Maintain the production value of our shows. In donating, you can help support our costume, prop, lighting, and set needs.
  • Get the word out. Your donation can aid in our marketing endeavours so the 13th network can reach wider than ever before.

All these factors go towards maintaining the 13th Night Theatre Company’s high-caliber performances and increasing the gains for our artists. A donation of any size will help our emerging community flourish, helping us support young creatives through our future projects.

We play many parts on our stages, and you can play a part too. Join us in our story.

Sending love and thanks,

The 13th Night Theatre Company
