At Simon Marks home learning has proven to be difficult for some of our children. The lack of a device in the family home for a number of reasons has caused distress for some of our pupils. It would be wonderful if we could pull together and help the school in purchasing some additional devices for home use. We would love to be able to raise £1,250 towards this. (£250/ device X 5).
FAQ:
Q: I've got a spare laptop at home, can I lend it to a student/family that need it?
A: Sadly not. We've explored this option and devices supplied by the school need to be installed/ approved with some specifications - sadly, we can't lend our own devices!
Q: What happens to devices after lockdown ends?
A: They will be returned to Simon Marks. The school have an ITC shortage so they will continue to be used/ needed by all of the school community.
