At the Community Wellbeing Collective, we’ve been providing free, accessible art and wellbeing activities to Wester Hailes for over 2 years. Our mission is to offer a welcoming space where creativity, community, and wellbeing come together, empowering people to connect, learn, and heal.
Why We Need Your Help
As we head into summer, we’re facing a crucial gap in funding. To keep our doors open and continue offering our regular programme, we’re reaching out to you—our community, supporters, and friends—to help us bridge this gap.
What Your Donation Will Support
Your generosity will ensure that our summer programme continues to provide:
- Free Wellbeing activities: From yoga to creative workshops, we offer a wide range of activities that support mental health and wellbeing for all ages.
- Operational costs: This includes the running costs of our venue, such as space maintenance, utilities, and essential resources.
- Staff: A fair pay for our team of passionate activity leaders, hosts and core roles that make it all happen. Your donation will help us keep them paid, ensuring continuity and care for all participants.
Who We Are
We are a grassroots group of people living in or connected to Wester Hailes, Edinburgh. We were brought together in 2021 by social-practice artist Jeanne van Heeswijk through a commission by the Edinburgh Art Festival and WHALE Arts.
By connecting through wellbeing, we resist the suffocation of intersecting oppressions, and create space to breathe and dream together. Through imagining, learning and dreaming, we are collectively creating futures in uncertain and challenging times.
Thank you for believing in our mission and for being part of our dream. Your support means the world!
