Our Story
A Pandemic-Born Business
What began as an Instagram post at the start of the pandemic quickly blossomed into a bubble tea delivery service! As a family of sisters and our mother, we set out to bring a homemade, authentic bubble tea experience to our local community.
We handcrafted and delivered bubble tea six days a week from home, developing our recipes and expanding our menu for over two years. As our delivery service grew, so did our vision—of opening a space where customers could enjoy our creations in person, in a place we could call our own!
Our First Shop
After years of searching for a property—often outbid due to our lack of business history—we finally opened our doors in October 2022 in a small shop in Romford Town Centre. While it was somewhat hidden, we were determined to bring it to life.
When It Rains, It Pours
Just 11 days after we opened, heavy rainfall caused leaks in our shop due to poor building structure. Despite countless letters to our landlord, the leaks persisted, forcing us to close every time it rained for an entire year—sometimes for days, other times for weeks. Each closure disrupted our ability to serve our community consistently and worsened our shop’s condition due to ongoing water damage. In November 2023, the roof finally collapsed, prompting the landlord to take action. We remained closed for seven months while repairs were made.
Our Next Chapter
We’re thrilled to share that we’ve secured a new location in the vibrant Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, taking a significant step forward!
With this move, we will be:
- Rebranding to capture the essence of who we are and where we’re headed.
- Continuing to serve our beloved best-sellers that you’ve come to love.
- Expanding our menu to introduce exciting offerings that go beyond bubble tea.
- Creating a unique space to relax, study, work, and hang out.
As we take this next step, we’re more committed than ever to sharing the unique brews, flavours, and traditions of Southeast and East Asia, while fostering a warm, inclusive environment that celebrates heart, cultural exchange, and community connection. These values will continue to guide everything we do in our new space.
Having faced numerous challenges over the past year, we’re now raising funds to bring this next chapter to life. With your support, we can make it happen!
