Support Our Artisans

Aim: Working with vulnerable artisan groups worldwide, we want to support them with orders that can be pre-purchased but made post lockdown.
SO JUST SHOP is a homeware, jewellery and accessories brand based in South London. We are an impact business supporting vulnerable communities throughout the world. Overnight we lost 75% of our revenue (50% from selling into retailers and 25% from events that were cancelled). Whilst life for us is tough, where it is harder is for our artisan groups.
We work with women-led artisan groups from all over the world, from vulnerable communities who are reliant on selling their products to support themselves and their families. Overnight many of these organisations saw a 90% drop in their orders, with businesses closed and no knowledge of when they will open again.
All of our artisan groups are currently still receiving salary, but the organisations are concerned how long this will last for - given that so many orders have been lost to them.
We are supporting them in 3 ways:
Allowing you to pre-purchase items that will be made post lockdown - they will receive the money ASAP and we will also donate our profits (the groups will receive up to 70% RRP)
Allowing you to add an additional donation to your order for e.g. food or hand sanitisers
We are all going to need face masks soon, so we are working with these groups to make upcycled, machine washable facemasks. Hopefully this will fill some of the loss in income they have had over the past 2 months - these will be available for pre-purchase over the next few days.
