We're still collecting donations

No seasonal rain for the past 2 years has left over 2000 children starving. The money raised will provide irrigation for the crops.

This appeal is for money to save thousands of chilldren in Tanzania from starvation.
On a voluntary basis I have been providing basic educational material to 2000 under privileged children in four primary schools in the Handeni District and Tanga Region of Tanzania. In the first year (shown in the video) I gave book bags, pencils, etc to two schools. For the past 3 years, I have raised sufficient funds to support children from four schools.
In January 2023 I was privileged to visit Tanzania and the schools. I was very impressed by the friendliness, tolerance and professionalism of everybody I met despite their extreme poverty and poor conditions.
However, I was appalled to be told the dry bare field I saw should have had a crop of maze, ready to be harvested. This was a field owned by the school where it grew food for the community. I the exceptionally dry weather, resulting from global warming, had caused the crop to fail. As a result, all the families in the area faced a winter with a severe shortage of food.
They asked me if I would be able to help.
This year the rainfall has failed again. I am seeking funding to provide an irrigation system for their field. It will only cost £4000. Only £2.00 for each child it could save from starvation.
Any extra money raised will be used to provide more pencils, pens and exercise books to the children.
As I am being helped by Recho Ward and her family in Tanzania on a voluntary basis, 100% of all money given will go towards providing irrigation equiptment and basic educational material for the children.
