Can you give a one off donation, or better still a monthly donation (£15/£30/£50), to help Daubeney Primary School to deliver a great education experience despite the financial challenges that it will face in the coming year?
We're hoping that as many as 100 parents and grandparents will commit to give a monthly donation to augment the school's budget this year, so that Daubeney can fund things like:
- Enabling all children to go on a school trip
- Investment in classrooms so that they continue to be high quality, fun and exciting learning environments
- Investment in the school's outdoor space so that all children have shade and a variety of stimulating activities
If we want Daubeney to continue to offer a quality education and to lead the way in extending opportunities equally to all children, regardless of socio-economic background, then those of us who are able to need to be creative and generous in how we help the school to fund it.
If we can get 100 parents and grandparents to commit to giving the price of a takeaway each month (£15/£30/£50) then we could reach our stretch target of £36,000.
Any amount, either one off or recurring, will be gratefully received, but please be as generous as you can. The reality is that the economic circumstances that the school is operating in aren't going to get better soon, so a regular monthly donation will go a long way to giving sustainable support to the school.
Some people will rightfully question whether it's right to prop up a state school that faces financial challenges that stem from political decisions. Those arguments are valid, but they won't help the children who are currently at Daubeney, so we urge you to put philosophy to one side and to support the school financially until the funding of education in the UK changes.
