Support Chestnuts Year 5 in their Sponsored Run

Aim: Support the Year 5 Pupils at Chestnuts Primary School in their sponsored run and support the campaign to replace the school EYFS playground

All of the children at Chestnut's Primary School are going to take part in the London Schools Mini Marathon between Monday 30th May and Friday 4th July 2025. Year Five will be taking part between 11.15am on Friday 4th July in Chestnuts Park. 

The London Schools Mini Marathon is a city wide event in which children run, jog, walk or wheel 2.6 miles either all in one go or over a number of days. Our children will be joining over a million children who have taken part since 2020. 

We hope you will sponsor the children for taking part in such an amazing but challenging event! Each year group will be invited to work together to fundraise and the year group who raise the most money will be treated to a prize of ice lollies in school. 

Everything that the children are sponsored will go towards the current Chestnuts School PSA fundraising campaign to replace the EYFS playground. We are fundraising to replace the equipment in this playground which is increasingly broken, rotten and needing to be removed. We are excited about the plans that have been developed to create an engaging and stimulating play environment.
