Support Arrestees from in / around Frome

We’re asking you to financially support the brave people from Frome & surrounding areas who, in taking nonviolent and peaceful direct action to bring attention to the Climate and Ecological Emergency, and other pressing environmental issues, have been arrested and charged, or are likely to be so. They need your help with their costs arising from the legal process.

While some have already been convicted and fined, others are due to go to court, and more still will likely be arrested and charged as the increasingly draconian measures from the new Policing Bills come into force. Some can meet the costs themselves, but others struggle to do so. The rest of us can help by donating money so that the fear of financial reprisals does not stand in the way.

While Extinction Rebellion Frome will manage collection and distribution of support, there are many other allied non-political groups committed to raising awareness on climate breakdown and the 6th mass ecological extinction. Support for arrestees will be available to anyone taking non-violent action in the face of the dire situation we face.
