We're still collecting donations
On the 20th December 2022 we'd raised £2,000 with 15 supporters in 69 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
My aim is to let more people experience the wellbeing benefits of paddle boarding & SUP Yoga and organise local activities in nature.

- Getting extra equipment/boards in, so that I am able to deliver sessions to larger groups of people.
- Investing in more safety equipment (buoyancy aids and/or wetsuits)
- Create a safe storage for all equipment
I am a qualified, experienced and locally established yoga teacher, SUP (Stand-Up Paddle boarding) Instructor and SUP Yoga Instructor and this year I have been teaching SUP Yoga classes at a local reservoir.
This was my first year of teaching SUP Yoga classes after I got qualified.
It was such an amazing experience and it made me realise how being out on the water has so many benefits for so many people and it is such a rewarding experience to guide them in to this journey.
As it was my first year on the water, I have not invested in my own equipment (paddle boards, buoyancy aids, etc), but instead hired it from a local Watersports centre.
This worked well for the first season, but now I have exciting plans to grow this side of my business!
There is a high demand in SUP and SUP classes (especially during and after the lockdowns) and lots of people have discovered the many physical and mental health benefits of being out on the water.
Scientific studies have shown that simply being near bodies of water can reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression. This finding, combined with the obvious benefits of exercise, make it an excellent choice for anyone who suffers from either of these conditions.
With this in mind, I realised there is a huge growth potential for this side of my business, so I have set up SUP Yoga Sussex.
I have been in contact with a local site and I am looking to set up a permanent base from where I will be running my SUP and SUP Yoga business. I would be able to offer private tuition, group classes, retreats and retreat days in nature.
For this project I am looking to invest in my own equipment (paddle boards & buoyancy aids) so that I have all the tools to deliver the sessions in a professional manner and be able to introduce more people to this lovely way of spending time connecting in nature and out on the water.
