CHAOS is raising funds to provide free summer camps for disadvantaged children from 5 of the poorest East London boroughs

Situation
CHAOS was started by 3 school friends from one of the poorer East London boroughs. Recognising their own good fortune, they decided to help others who hadn't had the same opportunities in life. When setting up this charity to help alleviate poverty, never in their wildest dreams did they expect the situation to become worse! Each year camps are oversubscribed and it is very sad to be turning deserving children away when we have the skill and resources but not enough funds to cover costs.
Solution
Each year, the charity raises funds to run summer camps in Norfolk near the seaside, away from the pressures of City life. Camps encourage the children's participation in sport, games and team building activities, improving communication skills and building resilience. Running our camps currently costs around £30,000 and covers food, transport, equipment and other costs. In summer 2024 we provided holidays for just under 60 children. In 2025, we aim to increase places on our camps by 20%.
