My story with suicide started in 2011 when I found my 13 year old sister had ended her own life. Losing someone to suicide is absolutely devasting with life-changing consequences.
It was in that moment I wanted to do more.
Having worked for 10 years within national charities, I felt there was a gap in the support offered within the community and this is where Violet Project was created! We are now a team of 6 and a growing team of volunteers!
Violet Project want to move away from adding additional helplines and offer more support within community. Bring back community support!
By supporting our organisation you can help us to grown to meet the demand on our services and we can expand to reach more people in need.
We will be able to work to prevent suicides , helping to create a safer community and also expand our suicide bereavement support groups so those that are bereaved are not alone.
