The La Soufrière volcano erupted on 9 April on the Caribbean island of St. Vincent, blanketing the local area with a thick layer of ash and forcing around 20,000 people to evacuate their homes.
The island has now been hit with major flooding and landslides and the people there desperately need our help.
Bristol student Shelena Artman, who has family on St Vincent, has been fronting local relief efforts from Bristol, collecting blankets and non-perishable food.
She has now teamed up with BCfm and Easton Community Centre to raise funds to send much-needed supplies directly to St Vincent via the shipping company, as the high commission can’t arrange transport for the aid.
Hurricane season is approaching and these people need our help ASAP.
This is a short-run crowdfunder so that we can send the items over as soon as possible, so please don't wait to donate.
