Why? Why did I decide to do such an important but difficult job? When I was 17, my uncle, who is also my close friend, became seriously ill. Doctors could not make a diagnosis for a long time, and he was getting worse day by day. At that time in Ukraine, we did not have money for a nurse, and I looked after him as best I could without the necessary education. I could not change catheters, but I quickly learned how to give injections. He died, leaving pain in my heart. For many years I tried to hide from this, but when the war came to my home, I realized that this is my calling. Now my children and I have left home and are safe, but events are unfolding too quickly. I want to master this profession and help people. Perhaps I can save a life or become an important part of this process.
