Any donations help massively. I plan to save as much as possible for accommodation and food but fear it may not be enough.

Back story:

Ive been teaching myself how to make jewellery for nearly 5 years now. I learned on my own, made mistakes on my own, wasted money making expensive mistakes on my own. Being in cornwall there isnt many people or facilities that enable this skill to be taught. Through selling handmade things online ive been able to fund equipment myself. Jewellery making equipment is expensive!! You can always make do with what you have, i know i have. But it doesn’t change the fact that better or correct equipment changes the outcome of the quality, better equals better. Below i will leave image of independent projects that varying from design and stone settings.

This is not something I’d usually do, however i recently recieved an email about crowdfunding and it sparked an idea.

Over the course of this year i will be working as much as possible to save a total of 10k. I work nearly full time snd pick up overtime when available. sell on ebay, vinted and etsy as well as sell unused clothing when possible.

as amazing as this sounds id really like to be in a position where i dont have to stress financially when in education. You’d think that i could just study somewhere else? With jewellery its very complicated to succeed. I could study at Birmingham where they have a few jewellery courses. However, i couldnt comprehend a 1 year course dragged over 3 years. Seemed financially stupid. 3 years of uni costs, acom costs, food costs. Im just explaining what anyone else studying at uni goes through.

Goldsmiths on thr other hand is a time effective course. 1 year learning everything i need and more. Surrounded by professionals and the highest in my field of applicants. Only 20 are interviewed and 10 accepted. So really its a bo brainer.

due to each week being 40 hours + long it would be difficult to get work in. So ideally i want to take every penny possible.

I havent been able to discuss alot, i can go on like an essay.

I hope to, one day, have a piece of my own walk down a red carpet. Hundreds of flashing cameras and an article of the jewellery designer, me.

I will leave my portfolio below :)
