'Strings' is a short film based around partners Ryan and Adrian who work within the music production business. Despite the love they have for each other, this only papers over the cracks within the relationship. After both going for the same job title, tensions rise when Adrian’s insecurities come to light after coming home, drunk, from a business convention. Throughout Ryan's life and upbringing they have had to face stigmas and challenges for people struggling to accept their non-binary identity. They now face those same pressures and criticisms from Adrian. Someone they thought loved them for who they are.

So far working on this project is myself Jake (Producer). I've recently completed an independent filmmaking degree in which I'm now looking to expand my portfolio further by working on this exciting project. We are all hoping this can platform a voice for those who identify as non-binary. As there is still plenty of work to do in order to represent the non-binary community within tv/film.

I'm working alongside Poppy Parker who is the writer and director of this project with Rhian Cutts-Arden now joining as assistant director. All three of us also studied together on the same course at Futureworks where we worked together on the short horror titled 'So Raw It's Still Screaming'. Also with us, is Joseph Krakowski who will be the director of photography and the original creator of this story who pitched this idea to me. Joseph is heading into their final year also studying at Futureworks and is already putting together an impressive variety of work. We are steadily forming a solid crew and are aiming to put out a casting call as soon as possible aiming to shoot the film in early October. Any donations of any kind would be hugely appreciated and each of you who donate will get a special shoutout in the credits. Thank you for taking the time to visit this page!
