We use floristry to train and support women who have survived human trafficking on their journey to independence and freedom. As well as delivering floristry training programmes, we offer work experience, skills training and mentorship. We believe in harnessing the beauty of flowers as a force for social change.

Who we are
Strength & Stem uses floristry to train and support women who have survived human trafficking on their journey to independence and freedom.
What we do
We run holistic training programmes that provide a safe space for survivors to find community and support, and to become better prepared for meaningful employment. Each six-month programme involves vocational floristry training, mentorship, work experience and supplementary skills training. Participants leave with a stronger sense of confidence and community as well as practical skills to better them in the workplace.
Why floristry?
We use floristry because it can be utilised as a therapeutic tool (with proven benefits for people living with trauma) as well as a practical tool for employment (in an industry that suits many survivors to work in). We love that flowers also symbolise resilience, new life and hope.
Ultimately, we want to see a world where women who have survived human trafficking can flourish.
How can you help?
It costs £852.50 for one survivor to take part in our programme.
£50 will provide a bucket of flowers for one participant (for one workshop)
£30 every month will cover the cost of one participants' flowers for the duration of the programme.
£150 will cover the cost of a participant's travel and food for the duration of the programme.
