Street Combers - Un-Doing What Others Have Done

My name is Albert. I am 8yrs old. 

My name is Ivy, I am 5yrs old.

For the last month, we have spent an hour of our weekends picking up litter in our local area - Wandsworth Riverside Quarter. We will easily fill 2 bin bags with rubbish collected on the streets. 

Wandsworth Riverside is a beautiful area - right next to the park and river and all the homes/flats are modern and recent new-builds. Yet the streets are littered with trash and full of weeds. 

It is clear the council are unable to keep on top of the street cleanliness so Ivy and I want to set up a regular community street cleaning group to make our area beautiful.

We learn about the environment at school and I think other areas might be inspired to set up similar Street Combing groups once they see the results of us.

We currently use a pair of gardening gloves - one glove each - and domestic bin bags. We are asking the crowd to help us raise money to buy litter picking equipment and weeding tools, brushes and dust pans, gloves, and if there is money get some t-shirts made up with our cause and maybe even a simple website.
