Aim: Hello friends, family and strangers near and far! We are Unshaded Arts & our latest production tour has been selected to tour to Edinburgh!
Hello lovely people!
We are Unshaded Arts, an international theatre company dedicated to producing new plays that shine a light on universal stories driven by marginalized voices. Founded in 2016 by Chiedza Rwodzi and Hassan Govia.
As most of you know our latest production, "Strangers & Revelations," written by Chiedza Rwodzi had its debut in Kenya at the Kenya International Theatre Festival late last year and what a success it was! We were so grateful for the positive feedback we received from the audience, and we took every constructive feedback on board to ensure a smooth and entertaining ongoing global tour of this striking and thought-provoking piece (if we do say so ourselves!).
We are thrilled to share with you that the show has been selected for EDINBURGH FRINGE FESTIVAL this year!!! yes that’s right! The biggest theatre festival in the world is giving our show the opportunity to be showcased among the biggest international crowd in theatre!
We cannot tell you just how excited we are to see the show continue to make such moves on the globe and it’s all because of you that this tour has continued to shine and flourish!
Whilst we are extremely excited to be going, the harsh reality is that the cost is rather hefty. We have definitely made some sacrifices however we are still falling short of our accommodation and transport fees for the cast. We are looking to raise £6000 to support our tour. We will also be offering incentives that can be found on this page! Your support would not only be helping us get to Edinburgh but continue our global tour that I hope to take to Zimbabwe later this year! Your support would mean the world in helping us spotlight this play that puts marginalised voices at the centre.
