Who are we?
Stockwood Park Rugby Club, a not-for-profit Community Rugby Club in the heart of Luton. Established in 1946 and providing rugby activities for Boys, Girls, Men & Women from Luton and the wider area.
Why are we crowdfunding?
Unfortunately the clubhouse roof has come come to the end of its lifespan and we need to repair and replace it. As a not-for-profit Club whose income is ploughed back in to rugby activities for the local community we don't have the capital to fund this ourselves, so we are looking to crowdfund from players, ex-players, local groups, former members, local interested parties and charities etc to help us realise this important project.
How you can play your part
There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!
4. If you want to run your own fundraiser to support us, maybe a sponsored activity or similar, use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
How we’ll spend the money raised
Money raised will be spent only on getting the roof repaired/replaced, the Club is otherwise self-sufficient but we need help with this Capital Project.
Community impact
With over 200 playing club members, Stockwood Park Rugby provides an important community sports resource in Luton. Activities are provided from age 3 to 18 in the Mini and Youth Section, as well as three regular Mens sides and a Womens team. The clubhouse is also used for other local sports sides such as Hockey and Gaelic Football and even a dominoes team.
