Stockport Pride has been promoting equality, diversity and inclusion in the borough since 2017.
The first event was planned by a local LGBTQ+ community group. Held in Stockport's Historic Market Place, it included entertainment, charities, community groups, food and drink. Also not forgetting numerous flags.
Since 2017, we have held two parades - which have walked across the town centre from RedRock, through Merseyway, and upto Stockport's Historic Market Place.
We have used our events to improve the lives of local LGBTQ+ people. Besides our main event, we have also run a number of events in other parts of the year - including LGBT+ History Month in February.
