Matthew Orbell is fundraising for Mountain Training Trust Charity No. 1064023

I’ve always been fortunate to have easy access to nature, growing up surrounded by the beautiful countryside of Surrey, Kent, and Sussex. For me, immersing myself in the natural world has always sparked creativity and motivation. There’s so much we can learn from and appreciate about nature, and now more than ever, it’s crucial that we protect and restore wild habitats. I truly believe that for people to unite around this cause, they must first experience nature for themselves.
That’s why I’m partnering with the Mountain Adventure Fund (MAF), an organization dedicated to giving disadvantaged children the chance to explore the outdoors and connect with nature by bringing them to the mountains. MAF is a growing charity that not only seeks donations but also welcomes volunteers to help provide these life-changing experiences.
I’m running the Stockholm Marathon on 31st May with the goal of finishing in under 3 hours, training around 10 hours a week in preparation. This is also part of my broader goal to compete in an Ironman 70.3 later in the year.
Please consider supporting this great cause by donating through the link below. Every contribution helps MAF bring more children closer to nature and empowers them to become advocates for its preservation. Thank you for your support!
