I am Stefan Hoggan-Radu and I am your SNP candidate for the next General Election on the 4th of July. I live in Cupar and am the current SNP Councillor for the Cupar ward. I grew up in this constituency and have worked in pharmacies here for over 10 years. I understand what matters to people locally.
My promise is that as the next MP for North East Fife, I will be on the ground supporting you and will be easily accessible to all.
The people of Scotland voted decisively to remain within the European Union and the SNP firmly believe that rejoining the EU is the best option for Scotland. The Tories ignored Scotland’s wishes, a position that Labour supports. The Lib Dems, who were pro-Europe, have now abandoned that position in favour of Scotland remaining part of this broken Brexit Britain. By rejoining the EU, Scotland would regain the benefits of EU membership, not least being part of the world’s largest single market.
We would regain access to Erasmus and the right to live, work and study anywhere in Europe. Many sectors in North East Fife are struggling to find workers, nowhere more so than in tourism and farming. No other party standing here is seeking to rejoin the EU and see the removal of restrictions on employing EU citizens.
North East Fife voted Remain. Scotland voted Remain.
The SNP’s view is that rejoining the EU and regaining our membership rights is a priority for Scotland. Europe is waiting and Scotland is ready.
My Promises
1. Be visible, accountable and accessible to the people of North East Fife
2. Help people through the Tory created Cost of Living Crisis, including standing up for my constituents when facing issues with Government institutions (DWP, HMRC etc.)
3. Help secure Flood Mitigation Funds for affected towns and villages
4. Support farmers, fisheries and businesses in navigating Brexit bureaucracy
5. Promote and encourage investment into the whole of North East Fife.
