Raising money for the running costs.

We are looking at raising money to cover running costs for the station, equip a studio so we can do all programming live, and apply for a DAB licence so we can be heard on the radio as well as online.

Also due to the current Coronavirus epidemic, we are well aware that many local residents of Scunthorpe, Winterton, Brigg, Kirton and the Surrounding Villages feel very isolated and anxious about the next few weeks and months. We also wanted to offer a local lifeline in the form of an online radio station which can be accessed 24 hours a day offering local news, community information and also try and entertain to keep us all thinking positively.

We have personally covered the set up costs to get the station on air, with the streaming and website etc. Ongoing costs will be needed and especially as listenership increases and people tune in and obviously we would be delighted for any help financially to help fund the station. We are also applying to Offcom for a Small scale DAB Licence to Cover Scunthorpe and the Surrounding Villages is is been advertised, so would like any help you can in raising funding to pay for the application of the licence and purchase of the transmission equipment.

We are offering a service to the community different to the Commercial and BBC stations and will be involving the community in the running of the station.
