ABOUT OUR FILM:

Genre

A gripping drama or thriller has never failed to grab my attention and shift my eyes to the

screen. I’ve found as I’ve experimented with the films I’ve watched, I always noticed how

much more compelling the stories and characters were in dramas and thrillers. Movies

such as “Manchester By The Sea” and “Good Will Hunting” are two specific movies that

fixate on a connection between its characters and the movie's subject topic that I found

incredibly complex and human which is what I focused my attention to when it came to

writing this short movie. Wanting to deliver characters that not only connected to the

audience through being relatable, but by having them stand for a message the audience

can then reflect their own lives upon.

Plot

Our story revolves around our protagonists, Mark and Faye. Two high school sweethearts

who had to disappear from each other's lives and were forced to move on before they even

had a chance to talk about the future of their relationship. Suddenly, they’re reunited after

their work lives collide and they’re forced to speak to one another for the first time in 10

years. Now, this is a story that’s been told time and time again throughout cinema but what

makes it so different this time around?

The catch of the story is that on paper these two characters are still perfect for each other.

Everything they loved, enjoyed and were passionate about… it’s still there. The experiences

they shared together are still deeply rooted in their memories and their individual love for

those shared memories and what made them so special are even stronger 10 years later.

However, the twist is that the traumas both Mark and Faye have experienced since their

initial breakup could derail their chances to explain to one another why they had to break

  • up and in addition, spoil any chances of them rekindling their relationship.
