Aim: Smarter Schools, Greener Futures: Building the UK’s First Sustainable Education Marketplace!

Hi, I’m Theresa Allotey – and I’m on a mission to change how schools use their resources.

As an experienced CFO and COO within education and a school business leader for over 15 years, I’ve seen the same problem repeat itself across the UK — perfectly good school resources ending up in skips while other schools struggle to afford even the basics.

Books, desks, IT equipment — all wasted, simply because we don’t have a system to share or repurpose what we already have.

At the same time, schools are under pressure to save money, meet sustainability targets, and do more with less. And there’s no easy way to find trusted, affordable suppliers who align with those values.

So, I decided to do something about it.

I created STAT – Schools Taking Action Together

STAT is the UK’s first online marketplace built exclusively for schools to:

✅ Buy, sell or donate surplus school resources
✅ Connect directly with pre-approved, sustainability-focused suppliers
✅ Collaborate with other schools in real time to reduce waste and cut costs

STAT is already making an impact.
So far, we’ve onboarded over 240 schools including 47 Multi-Academy Trusts...

But we’re just getting started.

My vision is bold but simple: a UK education system that works smarter, spends better, and wastes less.

I want to see a world where:

• No school throws out useful resources
• Schools trust the suppliers they buy from
• Sustainability isn’t a buzzword — it’s built into every purchase decision

STAT is not just a platform. It’s a movement — one that helps schools become more resourceful, responsible, and resilient.

Why I’m crowdfunding – and how your support will help

To fully launch STAT across the UK by September 2025, I need your help.

The money raised will go towards:

• Improving the platform with smart features like AI supplier matching and sustainability tracking
• Onboarding more schools, especially in underfunded areas
• Expanding our network of trusted suppliers
• Creating impact reports so schools can see how much waste and money they’ve saved
• And most importantly, making STAT accessible to every school that needs it
