Starting a new life after Domestic Abuse

Aim: My aim for a to set up my new home after Domestic Abuse

Hi there, and thank you for taking the time to read my story.

I had to leave my past abusive marriage after 15 years. I am currently in a female refuge and safe. I have the support of a Support Worker. I have completed the Freedom Program. Which has empowered me and caught me that the behaviour is the individual is down to them.

I have studied a part time course online through the support of a local college. I have studied this to enable me to get back into work.

With the support I have and I am receiving daily from the refuse. I am now ready to move back into work and I have been offered a job which is great.

I have also been offered my first home through the help of the local council. This is starting a fresh for myself and it is a massive and big thing for me. I ant to be independent and find a new me. To build a safe home for which will be my sanctuary.

I am doing a Crowd Fund to ask for help to help me to be able to purchase necessary items for my new home that I will need. I have certain grants for flooring and help with a few white goods. I am also registered with local charities to him. For which I am extremely grateful for.

I am asking for your help for which I know is a lot to ask for. Especially with the cost of living for everyone. If you could spare no matter how small a gift so that I maybe able to purchase some items for my flat and for me to make it my home, safe space and sanctuary. I know this is asking a lot and I have previously struggled to ask for help. Thant is why I am asking for your help.
